This version of the N°12 Explore comes with a tick remover on the knife handle so you can get rid of ticks safely and effectively.

It allows you to grab the tick without crushing it and remove it completely with a twisting motion.

We use modified Sandvik 12C27 stainless steel. It is anti-corrosive thanks to the addition of chromium and does not require special maintenance. Its carbon content of at least 0.40% gives an excellent cutting edge. Blade hardness 57-58 HRC.

Polyamide reinforced with fiberglass to withstand shock, moisture and extreme temperatures (-40°C à +80°C). Rock-free survival whistle works in all weather conditions (110 decibels).

Invented by Marcel Opinel in 1955, the Virobloc safety ring is fitted to all N° 06 folding knives. Cut from stainless steel, the Virobloc has two sections, one fixed and one sliding. In addition to locking the blade open (safety in use), it is now possible to lock the blade closed (safety in transport).
