Opinel Knife N°08 Stainless Steel + sheath
Its perforated handle and lace make it convenient to hang.
Its stainless steel blade is corrosion resistant. The beech wood handle is comfortable in the hand. The safety system, Virobloc®, blocks the blade in open and closed position.
Stainless steel is an alloy of steel. The addition of chromium increases its corrosion resistance. Stainless steel does not require much maintenance.
Beech is the most commonly used wood for making Opinel handles. From France, our beech is hard, durable and easy to work with. Homogeneous in appearance, its light color varies from yellow to pink. It is characterized by the presence of numerous small dark lines.
Invented by Marcel Opinel in 1955, the Virobloc safety ring is fitted to all N° 06 folding knives. Cut from stainless steel, the Virobloc has two sections, one fixed and one sliding. In addition to locking the blade open (safety in use), it is now possible to lock the blade closed (safety in transport).
